IWC Vintage Portugieser "Hand-wound"
IWC created a range of watches celebrating 140 years of watchmaking, one watch designed of each collection.
These watches were called the "Vintage" collection. These models were available in stainless steel, 18ct white gold and 18ct rose gold and platinum.
They included the following models: Portofino, Portugieser, Pilots, Ingenieur, Aquatimer and Da Vinci.
This particularly, very rare model is the Vintage Portugieser. The case is made in solid 18ct rose gold with a sapphire crystal glass exhibition case back. Held on a genuine brown alligator strap with a matching rose gold pin buckle. It is fitted with a highly complicated and decorated manufacture calibre mechanical hand-wound movement with offset seconds. The dial is slivered with applied gold Arabic numerals, markers and transferred detailing. Finished with a sapphire crystal glass.
