In 1997 Patek Philippe decide to add another sports watch to their collection. Unlike the Nautilus, this sports model was designed with “sports elegance” in mind. An every day Patek Pilippe that shows the prestige of fine watchmaking but also rugged enough for every day use. Made in Ladies and Gentleman’s version’s and quartz and mechanical movement options, the “Aquanaut” was born. Designed to be specifically held on a tropical composite strap, the lightweight design makes the wearer feel as if there were nothing on the wrist. Supplied in small quantities the Aquanaut is one of the most sought after Patek Philippe watches on the market today. This particular model of Aquanaut is the very fine and rare Travel Time ref 5164.
