As the story is told a Portuguese sailor came to IWC asking whether they could make a pocket watch that could fit on the wrist. The Portugieser was born. Many years on the range has evolved in to many different designs. The range has become synonymous with class and elegance, which paved the way for oversized watch designs and trends. This exquisite example was launched after the success of the more traditional Portugieser chronograph and based on the same design as the automatic 7 day power reserve model. The Portugieser Annual Calendar watch, made in all 18ct rose gold, it is held on a back alligator strap with an 18ct rose gold folding clasp. Fitted with a highly complicated and decorated IWC calibre 52850 mechanical self-winding Annual calendar movement. Functions include day, date, month and power reserve.
