As the story goes a Portuguese sailor came to IWC asking whether they could make a pocket watch that could fit on the wrist. The Portuguese was born. Many years on the range has evolved in to many different designs. The range has become synonymous with class and elegance, which paved the way for oversized watch designs and trends.
This exquisite example was launched after the success of the more traditional Portuguese chronograph. The Portuguese automatic 7-day power reserve watch. This particular model is a special “Tribeca Film festival 2013”, limited to 100 pieces. Made in an all stainless steel case and held on a genuine black alligator strap with matching stainless steel folding clasp. The rotor is engraved with an image of the Tribeca Film Festival and the limited series number. Limited edition slate grey with applied rose gold numerals and burgundy sub dials. Indicators on the dial showing the date, power reserve and seconds. Finished off with a sapphire crystal glass and case back.
