As the legend tell’s us, a Portuguese sailor came to IWC asking whether they could make a pocket watch that could fit on the wrist. The Portuguese was born. This exquisite example was launched after the success of the more traditional Portuguese chronograph. The Portuguese automatic 7-day power reserve watch. This particular model is a special “Year Of The Dragon”, limited to 888 pieces. Made in an all 18ct rose gold case and held on a genuine black alligator strap with matching 18ct rose gold folding clasp. It is fitted with the highly complicated and decorated IWC Calibre 52010 mechanical self-winding movement, which has the very powerful Breguet mainspring allowing for a 7 day power reserve, off the wrist. The rotor is engraved with an image of a dragon and the limited series number. Limited edition slate grey with applied rose gold numerals and sub dials.Indicators on the dial showing the date, power reserve and seconds. Finished off with a sapphire crystal glass and case back.
