As legend tell’s us, a Portuguese sailor came to IWC asking whether they could make a pocket watch that could fit on the wrist. The Portuguese was born. Many years on the range has evolved in to many different designs. The range has become synonymous with class and elegance, which paved the way for oversized watch designs and trends. This exquisite example was launched after the success of the more traditional Portuguese chronograph and based on the same design as the automatic 7 day power reserve model.
