Jaeger Le Coultre watchmakers were keen to design a new chronograph movement, one that would retain its accuracy over time, whether or not the chronograph function was enabled. The cocept developed went far beyond their expectations. Combined with an exceptional exterior and the use of the rarest materials, the result places the Duometre collection in the very highest echelons of the watchmaking art. An emblematic innovation in the Duometre Chronograph and the Duometre a Quantieme Lunaire models is the second foudroyante function, a dedicated hand that measures time down to fractions of a second. The jumping seconds complication makes these timepieces accurate to the nearest one-sixth of a second, giving a new definition of watchmaking precision. This particular model is the Duometre a Luniare. Made in all 18ct white gold, held on a genuine black alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle. Highly complicated and decorated mechanically hand-wound JLC calibre 381 movement with date, moon phase, seconds and jumping seconds. White enamel dial and finished with a sapphire crystal glass and exhibition caseback. Limited Edition to 200 pieces.
