When all other Sports wristwatches were slim and gold. Patek Philippe decided to create an elegant, but practical sports watch in stainless steel. In 1976, with the influence of Gerald Genta, Patek Philippe created the iconic “Nautilus”. Unusual with its porthole design, it is today one of the most sought after Patek Philippe timepieces available. The range has been changed, updated, discontinued, re-innovated and revisited and now in 2016 the model will celebrate its 40th Anniversary and show that it’s design will leave a legacy amongst new and old collectors alike. This particular Nautilus model is the ref 5726/1A. One of the newer additions to the Nautilus family, with an all stainless steel hand finished three part case and held on a Manufacture made stainless steel bracelet. Fitted with the highly complicated and decorated Manufacture calibre 324 S QA LU 24H/303 mechanical self-winding movement. Features include annual calendar, day, date, month, moon phase and 24 hour dial. Black dial with applied gold markers. Finished with a sapphire cryustal glass and case back.
