The first known Patek Philippe perpetual calendar wrist watch was first made in 1925. The perpetual calendar came in to regular production in 1941 with the reference 1526. Since that time, the essential gentleman’s grand complication has worn many different guises. This particular model is the now discontinued ref 5039. The case is based around the “Calatrava” style with hobnail engraved bezel and on this version is made in 18ct pink gold. The timepiece is held on a genuine brown alligator strap with matching pink gold pin buckle. Fitted with the highly complicated and decorated Manufacture calibre 240 Q, ultra slim mechanical self-winding movement. Features include day, date, month, leapyear and moon phase functions. The dial is silver with applied gold markers and transferred detailing. It is finished with a sapphire crystal glass.
