On the 27th May 2015, Patek Philippe presented their Watch Art Grand exhibition at London’s Saatchi Gallery. The exhibition showcased to the world, a small part of the Patek Philippe world back in Geneva. Within the exhibition were a unique collection of models and references, ranging from the rarest vintage pieces worn by royalty, to grand complications and modern collection displays. To commemorate the exhibition four models of the current collection were chosen (all in officers style cases) to have special London dial created. These models were, 5213G, 5159G, 5153G and the ladies 7200R. Never previously offered to market, this particular model is the very fine and rare limited edition ref 5153G. Made in an all 18ct white gold officers style case with solid 18ct white gold hindged dust cover engraved with the exhibition details which covered a sapphire crystal glass exhibition case back. Held on a genuine black alligator strap with matching 18ct white gold folding clasp. Fitted with the highly complicated and decorated Manufacture calibre 324 S C mechanical self-winding movement with date and central seconds functions. Unique London edition dial in silver-grey with applied blackened gold numerals. Finished with a sapphire crystal glass. Limited to 80 pieces worldwide, the timepiece is pre-owned and offered in double sealed factory condition.
