Antoine Nobert de Patek knew the importance of relationships and building international clientele and retailer partnerships. In 1851 he partnered with the fine jeweller “Tiffany & Co” New York (USA). One of the brands oldest partnership’s that is still maintained till this day. In 1997 Patek Philippe decide to add another sports watch to their collection. Unlike the Nautilus, this sports model was designed with “sports elegance” in mind. An every day Patek Pilippe that shows the prestige of fine watchmaking but also rugged enough for every day use. Made in Ladies and Gentleman’s version’s and quartz and mechanical movement options, the “Aquanaut” was born. Designed to be specifically held on a tropical composite strap, the lightweight design makes the wearer feel as if there were nothing on the wrist. Supplied in small quantities the Aquanaut is one of the most sought after Patek Philippe watches on the market today. Never previously offered to market, this particular model of Aquanaut is the very fine and rare ref 5167. Made in an all 18ct pink gold 40 mm case and held on a chocolate-brown tropical composite strap with matching 18ct pink gold double folding clasp. Fitted with the highly complicated and decorated Manufacture calibre 324 S C mecahnical self-winding movement with cenrtal seconds and date in apertures on dial. Chocolate-brown embossed dial with applied gold numerals, transferred markers and holy grail Tiffany & Co motif. Water resistant to 120 metres and finished with a sapphire crystal glass.
