First designed in 1971, the successor to the “Explorer”, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer II timepiece was created. The model soon became the choice for scientists and explorers alike due to its unique features. This particular model is the now discontinued ref 16570. Made in an all 904L stainless steel hand finished case, with a fixed stainless steel bezel with 24 hour markings. The timpiece is held on a Manufacture made stainless steel bracelet and fitted with a highly efficient and accurate Manufacture calibre COSC certified mechanical self-winding movement. Features include central sweep second hand, date and dual time function. Destinctive white dial with applied luminous markers and finished with a sapphire crystal glass and case back.
